It Seems Like It Was Just 25 Years Ago!

Can you believe it? August 30th was our twenty fifth wedding anniversary! We're so glad we found each other twenty five years ago and that we decided to get married. It was the best decision we've ever made.

For our twenty fifth wedding anniversary we decided to go to Maine! Maine was one of the few states that we had never been to and had always wanted to visit, so we decided to take a romantic get-away there.

We flew into Manchester, NH and rented a car and drove to Maine (only 20 minutes to the Maine border). We drove to Bangor the first night. The next day we drove to Acadia National Park and then spent the night near Camden. Day three was to Kennebunkport and we stayed there. Day four was south of Kennebunkport and back to the Manchester, NH airport and home.

It was a GREAT trip!

Remember you can click the photos to see them larger...

Both of us grew up in the Rocky Mountains and have lived in the Midwest for the past 18 years, so it is a treat for us to go to the ocean and see lighthouses. We saw lots of lighthouses on this trip...

We took a boat tour at Acadia National Park. Here's our ranger tour guide explaining about lobsters. Everywhere we went everybody talked about lobsters...

Acadia - Is this guy alive or dead??? He never moved the whole time we were there.

B&B in Kennebunkport (that's our rental car in the photo). Yes it will roast the tires with the vehicle skid control turned off!

We ate at a very fancy [expensive] restaurant in Kennebunkport about 300 yards from Grorge's house the evening of our anniversary. Of course we got lobster since we were in Maine and that's all everybody talks about. We also had "lobster rolls" on day #2. Both of us decided that we're not big fans of the lobster. Maybe we can wait another 25 years for some more.

The trip was fabulous, but not as fabulous as the past 25 years have been. Thank you for marrying me!
