Spring Break 2011

This year we took a short trip to Chicago for spring break. We left Wednesday after work and drove about half way, then on Thursday we went to the Shedd Aquarium in downtown Chicago.

Here's some Shedd Aquarium photos...

On Friday we went to the Museum of Natural History also in downtown Chicago.

This photo is of "Sue" the Tyrannosaurus Rex...

Friday evening we went to Medieval Times dinner show.

Go Blue Knight!!!

Saturday we went to Mitsuwa Japanese supermarket and then to the "Sushi Station" conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The sushi goes past you and you pick up the ones you want.

Then we left Chicago and got home about 6:00 PM Saturday evening. It was a quick but fun trip.

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

In March, Jeremy turned 18. Can it be true? In a few short months he'll be leaving the nest for college. We'll especially enjoy the next few months with him at home!

I guess his hot air was good for something that day. I hope he wished for something good!

An 11 year old driving a $125,000 vehicle??

Yes, we let Spencer drive a $125,000 vehicle a couple of months ago! We went to a robotics competition to see Jeremy's team at Missouri Science and Technology University and Spencer drove a robot that costs us taxpayers $125,000. It was an Army robot that was there with the ROTC.
(Michael wanted me to include that he drove a $60,000 vehicle as well. The ROTC had 3 robots there. One cost $40K, then $60K, then $125K.)

Here's the $125K robot:
