Sewing, Sewing, Sewing

Here's what I have been doing the last few weeks, SEWING! Four bridesmaid's dresses and one flower girls. I have one more flower girl and a bride's maid dress to go and then I'm on to sending out announcements. So hopefully you will be getting announcements in the mail by mid-July. If you think I don't have your address, please send it to me, I probably don't. There's so much to get done for this but I keep telling myself, my famous saying, " It will all work out in the end" I hope so!

A Night at the MUNY

Rick got tickets from work for the Muny, it's an outdoors musical theatre in the summer. they have week long show through out the summer. Sometimes it can be quite hot, but it wasn't too bad wednesday night because of a breeze. We took Michael and Spencer to see, "Annie". Jeremy had to work. It was a great show. The boys thought they were going to have a terrible time, but they enjoyed it a lot. We had great seats, second row. The boys were really impressed. It was so fun to be able to see the actors so close you could watch the spit fly out of their mouths. Here's a picture of the stage from our seats.

Spencer Update

Spencer is a really fun boy. This summer he decided that he wanted to play baseball. (He's the fifth from the left in the blue shirt, really tall kid) Rick and I aren't really the best sports parents, unless it's with race cars, love the races! But Spencer really wanted to play and when Spencer wants to do something, he is very persistant! So far, they have won all their games and Spencer has hit a few singles and doubles. He even caught a fly ball. This last game almost did me in though, It was HOT!!! A heat index over 100, the sweat just pours off of you in this humidity. It took us hours to cool back down. My kids were kinda laughing at me because I am always cold but not when it is this HOT. Thank heavens the heat spell has broken and we are in for some 80 degree days this week.
Spencer is also into watches. He likes to wear them all at one time on his arm. It reminds me of the ape in the Richard Scarry books. He just likes to have them all on. He even wore them out to dinner the other night. Rick and I asked if he really wanted to do that and he said yes. Gotta love this kid! He knows what he wants and isn't afraid of what others may think!

A Tasty Reward

We have had a goal for the last six months to read scriptures every night. We made it easy on ourselves, one verse per member of the family. So far we have been 100%. So to reward ourselves, we went out to eat at a fun restuarant, Emperor's Palace. They put us in a unique setting, the gazebo. We had a fun night and stuffed our selves with sushi, mongolian BBQ, chocolate covered strawberries and other asian foods.

Jeremy's Job

Jeremy is working this summer at Six Flags. He is a cashier in one of the stores. Here he is with his ole buddy, Daffy.

Michael Graduation Day

For the fifth grade graduation, Michael's class had an amazing race. They traveled to different countries to compete in different obstacles. It was a hot day, but they had a blast!

Africa was a banana throw. What a schmuchy mess!

France was a "Tour de France". Yes, that's Michael racing on a tricycle with a smile on his face. It was hilarious to watch!

Michael's best buddies at school. They are a great group of boys.

Spencer at the Zoo

Spencer's class had a fun day at the Zoo. He and has buddies dubbed themselves, "the monkeys". Believe me, they were very active and a lot of fun to go to the zoo with. Spencer is the one in the baseball cap.
