Spencer is a really fun boy. This summer he decided that he wanted to play baseball. (He's the fifth from the left in the blue shirt, really tall kid) Rick and I aren't really the best sports parents, unless it's with race cars,love the races! But Spencer really wanted to play and when Spencer wants to do something, he is very persistant! So far, they have won all their games and Spencer has hit a few singles and doubles. He even caught a fly ball. This last game almost did me in though, It was HOT!!! A heat index over 100, the sweat just pours off of you in this humidity. It took us hours to cool back down. My kids were kinda laughing at me because I am always cold but not when it is this HOT. Thank heavens the heat spell has broken and we are in for some 80 degree days this week.
Spencer is also into watches. He likes to wear them all at one time on his arm. It reminds me of the ape in the Richard Scarry books. He just likes to have them all on. He even wore them out to dinner the other night. Rick and I asked if he really wanted to do that and he said yes. Gotta love this kid! He knows what he wants and isn't afraid of what others may think!

I love that shot of him with the watches. I think he's gonna be an engineer of some sorts ("Kali, wanna see this cool invention I made?" =)). SO FUN! And I'm glad he's getting into sports...none of us ever did. He can be the Massey all-star
