Spencer's Broken Arm

He's joined the broken bone club. Saturday, Spencer took Terra for a walk, but it turns out she took him for a RUN. She can really get going and Spencer tripped. He tried to save himself with his hand. Unfortunately, he landed too hard and broke it. We didn't know it at the time because it didn't swell and after some Advil it didn't hurt. He had full mobility in the hand. But we kept it wrapped because he said it felt better that way, and of course, he tried to stay home on Sunday. Come Monday he seemed fine but was unable to hold a can of beans in the hand. So Mom took him to the Doctor, who took an X-Ray and said it is a "Buckle Fracture". He could have a stinky cast for the next three weeks or a splint. We chose the splint because he can still wash his hand and it won't itch. Spencer was looking forward to having his class sign his cast. Better luck next time, Spencer!

Ohhhh! Spencer! Sorry to hear it, although, that is a MUCH better alternative (a splint vs. a cast). You can have your class sign a shirt or something instead, all while having a clean arm/hand. =)
